I graduated from Gordon College in the United States with a BBA degree. With several years of experience in teaching English subjects to adults, I'm a TESOL, Cambridge & IELTS qualified expert with experience in education, tourism & hospitality, EdTech, and public relations. As soon as I finished my studies, I taught English to students in Central America and Asia. In addition to speaking 11 languages fluently, I also studied Spanish in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where I taught English. The first job I held as an educator was as a classroom assistant in a school for children with disabilities. Later, I taught English to adults in Johannesburg & Pretoria, South Africa, before relocating to North America. Previously to teaching ESL in Asia, I worked as a social media & communications manager for companies like Cheil Worldwide, Samsung, Microsoft, and WE Worldwide. Over the course of my career as an English language teacher and communications manager, I have taught English, corporate language training, business/general English, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, and Cambridge exam preparation courses to name a few. As a fully-qualified teacher, I'm experienced in teaching both children and adults, preparing the curriculum and collecting content to use in online and offline classes, as well as providing support and mentoring to both adults and children. Having patience and treating students with respect and a friendly attitude is something that I'm great at and will make you feel at ease when you take a class with me. I am looking forward to learning from you in the classroom.
