Group сlass: Advanced Math for university students. Calculus

Struggling with university-level math? Or do you just want to improve your understanding and skills in Advanced Math for your career? This course is for you!

In this course, you will learn how to analyze functions and graphs. You will gain all the tools necessary to extract information from any given function, which can be useful in real life.

Unlike some of the Math courses with a more traditional approach to teaching, this course is student-centered. Students are expected to expand their own understanding of the subject, learn from each other, and find their own, individual approaches to solving problems while recognizing their real-life applications.

There will be assignments only if students require them to solidify their knowledge. It will be a group decision in every class and on every topic. Students are welcome to ask questions and will receive feedback on assignments.

What are the objectives of this course?
Learn to analyze functions and graphs
Learn to extract information from functions
Learn to apply these skills to real-life tasks (maxima and minima, length of a curve, integral analysis, growth, limits, asymptotic behavior, concavity, continuity, etc)

‍For whom is this course?
For university students who need additional guidance and practice
For young professionals who deal with Math (in such fields as accounting, banking, statistics, computing, etc) and want to improve their understanding
For everyone who wants to brush up their knowledge in Advanced Math

Message from the lecturer: "I've developed this Calculus course because, it is a subject I love, and it was my Calculus teacher who taught me the true meaning and value behind Math. I'd be happy to share my love for Math with you in this course."

What are group classes?
plus icon

Group classes are sessions that bring together a small group of students to learn a specific subject under the guidance of an instructor.

What's the difference between 1-on-1 and group classes?
plus icon

In a 1-on-1 class, the student receives individualized attention and can work at their own pace. In a group class, students have the opportunity to collaborate, learn from each other, and participate in group activities.

What are the benefits?
plus icon

Group classes can provide a supportive and motivating learning environment, increase social skills, and allow students to learn from each other’s perspectives.

How to book a group class?
plus icon

You can book a group class here. Select the subject you want to learn, and choose a class that works for you.

What subjects can I study in a group class?
plus icon

You can study any subject if there are tutors who teach that subject on Edeely.

I have a suggestion to share. How can I reach out?

We welcome your suggestions and feedback. You can reach out to our Customer Support Team here. We look forward to hearing from you!

Lecturer

Hi there! My name is Tomas, I am currently studying to obtain my Bioengineering Master Degree, and I have been working as a private Spanish, Math, Chemistry and Physics tutor in multiple fields for the last 5 years. My tutoring sessions are online and can be held either in Spanish or in English.

Here is a bit of my tutoring experience. I have worked for 3 years at my local university as a Teaching Assistant in courses such as Complex Calculus and Linear Algebra, aiding students with their problem sets and enabling them to succesfully boost their grades. I have also worked as a 1 to 1 tutor by myself for the last 5 years, and in 2022 I was hired by the Canadian company Logic Learning as well. With regard to my students, I have had the pleasure to work with students from many different nationalities, as young as 8 years old and as old as 26.

My methodology is very simple, I have one mantra: adjust to the student's needs. On our first session together, my student informs me of his goals with the class and his current state with it. I also inquire him about what kind of lesson he feels more comfortable with (long sessions, shorter ones; focusing on the theory or on problem sets). Based on this, I design a study plan that we can follow together. This has proved to be very successful.

I hope you will consider me for your next lesson! Thank you!
